Teaching and Training

I love being able to share all that I have learned over the last 2 decades! I love educational conversations with graduate students honing their clinical minds, new therapists navigating their first years in the field, or frontline workers wanting to become more trauma-informed.

I have served as adjunct and affiliate faculty at The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology since 2012. I co-taught Effective Trauma Care with Dr. Dan Allender for trauma practitioners from 2016-2021. I was primary teaching staff for Narrative Focused Trauma Care Levels 1 & 2 at the Allender Center from 2011-2022. Jennifer McGrath, LMHC of Indwell Counseling and I co-created Trauma and the Body, an online course in 2021. Wendell Moss, LMHC and I offered care and teaching for Racial Trauma in 2021 and 2022. I also was a guest speaker at the course “A Life Worth Living” at University of Washington in 2018 and 2019. Fall of 2022 I taught Trauma-Focused Narrative Group Training with Cyndi Mesmer at Art of Living Counseling Center.

Consultation and Supervision

I’d love to come alongside your organization to increase your understanding of the impacts of trauma and abuse. I would enjoy walking with you as you start your first years of practicing therapy. Supervision and Consultation are services I provide to sharpen the skills you already have.

I engaged in these conversations with Cherished LA and Ellilta Women at Risk, organizations offering healing and job training to survivors of sex trafficking.
